Kirchner French Memorial Library 

Welcome to the Kirchner French Memorial Library. The library is your one stop source for all of your informational needs. We have a large selection of books, magazines, newspapers, and electronic resources available to be checked out by our library card holders. The Kirchner-French Memorial Library is a community service agency that will provide access to materials in a variety of formats for the informational , recreational and educational needs of the people of Peterson and the surrounding area without regard to age, sex, creed or national origin.

Role of the Library

  • Popular Materials Center: i.e. books for all ages
  • Information and Life-Long Learning Center: access to information and material from collection, interlibrary loan, and networking with other libraries, agencies, and organizations.
  • Young Children’s Door to Learning: encourage young children to develop an interest in reading and learning through programming and services for children.
  • Community Activity Center: space for community activities, meetings, and services, information on community organizations and services, and assist with researching the local history of Peterson.

Are you Looking for ways to help your local Library?

       There are Two Huge Ways you can help!

  1. Stop in, check us out, come to a program or 10!
  2. Check out Books!

Another way to help would be to make a donation or contribution if you are able. 

~I put together a wish list on Amazon with various items from snacks, juice, drink mixes, STEM kits, Lego kits, activities, prizes and supplies. We are seeing anywhere from 5-25+ youth at the Library 2-3 times per week. However my program budget is being stretched thin with keeping the snack cabinet full and having an increased amount of programs. We have more than doubled the number of programs offered from previous years! It is super great and I am very excited to see more kids more often! I am hoping with your help I can continue to provide snacks and new activities for them.
